No. 4 - Golden Hour

Golden Hour is the 4^th addition to our Runway Collection.

This natural-processed, single-variety Gesha lot comes from producer Noé López and his farm, Finca La Perla, located in Chirinos, San Ignacio, Cajamarca. Born in 1949 in Chalaco, Peru, Noé has a long-standing legacy in coffee cultivation. He began growing coffee in the Piura region in 1962. Adapting to challenges, he shifted to more disease-resistant varieties post-1970 due to the impact of rust.

In 2014, Noé’s commitment to quality inspired him to introduce the Gesha variety to his farm, following an internship in Panama. He became the first in his cooperative to cultivate Gesha, encouraging others to do the same. Today, seeds from Noé's farm enable many cooperative members to grow this prized variety. Beans from Noé López’s farm are known for their outstanding quality, consistently earning top cup scores. Beyond his farming achievements, Noé remains an active leader within the cooperative, generously sharing his extensive knowledge with fellow members.
