Aeropress brew guide - simple and tasty

Let's face it. When we talk coffee we must mention James Hoffmann. 

Therefore for the Aeropress, we dare not recommend anything else but; The James Hoffmann method: 

Equipment needed:

  • Aeropress
  • Aeropress paper filter
  • Coffee grinder
  • Kettle
  • Digital scale
  • Timer
  • Freshly roasted coffee beans

Ingredients:

  • 11g of freshly ground coffee 
  • 200g of water 

Instructions:

  1. Set brewer in standard position on a server. No need to rinse or preheat the filter. Add coffee. 

  2. Start a timer and add 200g of water, aiming to wet all the coffee during pouring.

  3. Then immediately place the plunger on top of the brewer, about 1 cm in. This creates a vacuum to stop the coffee from dripping through.

  4. Wait 2 minutes.

  5. Holding the brewer and the plunger, gently swirl the brewer.

  6. Wait 30 seconds.

  7. Press gently all the way, it takes about 30 seconds.

  8. Drink and enjoy!

Feel free to adjust the coffee-to-water ratio or grind size to suit your preferences.
